Meet Our Founder

My name is Evan Sims and I am the owner and founder of Striver Gear. I am blessed with an amazing family, my wife Morgan, my daughter Kinsley, and my son Jed. The last best place, Montana, is where we call home. We love the outdoors and spend as much time as we can hunting, fishing, and camping.

Only the Best Gear

Having the best gear has always been very important to me. I have spent over 20 years hunting and fishing. During this time, I have found what gear works best and how better gear can help your performance in the field. I have always had a passion for creating new ideas. After seeing one of my designs brought to market by another company two years after thinking of it myself, I knew I had good ideas and that it was time to do something with them.

The Solution

One of the best ways to come up with a new product is to first have a problem. I have always hated taking my bino harness on and off because the straps are always hard to reach and get tangled. Out hunting one day, I quickly realized there needs to be a way to take the pouch away from my chest while leaving the harness on my body. This is what led me to start designing a system that did just that. Right away I knew that what I was working on was something that hasn't been done before and I need to bring it to life. Over the next three years I worked hard at designing the quick release bino harness system, which I now believe is the best bino harness on the market. My goal is to continue to make the best gear possible so I can help others strive to be at their best. This is why we are Striver Gear.
